Is now the time to dump gear?

With the level cap coming up, I'm wondering if I should dump my expensive 40 gear now and get the cash while people are still paying tons for it. Once the cap hits, todays epic and legendary gear will be tommorows throw aways, and everyone know the only gear that your going to pay a fortune for is current level cap gear. Basically hoard the cash now to pay for tommorow's next new thing?

No one knows whether there will be more updated gear for the upcoming cap. There is no indication of them making new weapons or creating a new chest piece. It's your call cause most of us don't have any idea either.

Judging the way they did PLs humania update, i'd put my money on this next level cap will more than likely have end game custom gear as well. The Gear won't drop in price like your thinking though since this custom gear has things that match it. eventually people will get bored of the end game stuff and move on to other level'd customs.

Sure there will b new gear and guns - Savant pink chests r the preview for it

But as far as i remember from previous caps - old custom is still better than new mid-game armor, so lots of ppl use it till they can use next end-game stuff

As for guns - napalm FTW! Lol... Also, there is little point to make Hive permanent for loots if they gonna make much better pvp guns in the next update

So i'm not selling my stuff yet

prev lvl purps increase in price after new cap. look at the prices of purp sloucho and sy gear. but this cap has lasted a year, u shudve gotten rid of em already.

I advice you to keep your level 40 gear (if it's custom) because you'll need t to level to the new cap level, you get it? lol. I'm keeping my sets

The smart move if your a merchant would be to sell. The moment the new cap raise comes about every would be selling, this will cause the prices to drop a lot. How ever if you hold it for a couple more weeks the prices will go back up but never to its original price. Snipertech on the other hand will go up in price. Right now no one wants it so the price is low. When the rest of the gear comes about next update the price will go up . Why? now every one wants this chest piece which will cause the price to go up.

If you are not short on credits just keep them , as they will be useful leveling up and can always be worn as vanities.

I sold my Custom Titantech because it isnt useful in any way.
I only keep Custom Meganaut for the look and Custom Battleshell for PVP.
When the new sets suck like the new Legendary Chests then i would keep the Custom Lv40 Sets.

the new legendary chests do not suck at all. Think about it , just the chest piece alone rivals an entire lvl 40 custom set ( including the bonus received from custom). The completed pink armor set would render custom lvl 40 sets useless.

SELL ALL YOUR OLD VANITIES!!!!! Usally when the new cap hits all old players come back and they are ready to get rid of the coolest things, and because everyone is selling It gets real cheap! Best time to buy old things in my opinion.

If I were you I would keep it and have a custom collection then work you money up

I keep my custom gear for leveling up until I get the next set of custom. Thinking about keeping my custom Runetech though...so much purple stuff matches it! Freshness.
