I'm not a big fan of the Lbs either, but yes it is quite necessary in my opinion. I don't see anything wrong with just posting a thread on the forums about it. Not everybody checks lbs in game.

Why would people who dont check the LB in game check on this thread? If they check in game the thread wouldn't be necessary for the person since they already know, and if the person doesn't check at all then...the thread still isn't necessary for that person.
