Gear Requirements: Any combination of AO3/Shadow Caves/Balefort Sewer gear only, no Forgotten weapons. Vanities are allowed with the exception of Founder's Helm.
Location: Forest Fight!
Tournament Description: This tournament will consist of 16 players fighting in a DOUBLE elimination style bracket. Matches will be played to in 1 game, with the first player to 10 winning. Winners will advance in the "Winner's" bracket with losers being moved to the "Loser's" bracket. All entrants will continue to play until he/she has lost two matches. The final match will consist of the "Winner's" bracket finalist against the "Loser's" bracket finalist. The winner will be determined when the "Winner's" bracket finalist wins once or the "Loser's" bracket winner wins twice, whichever comes first.
How to Join: Entrants will register through the following link through the creation of a forum account (unless one is already created.) Each entrant will also be required to post on the official tournament thread with their forum account and state their IGN so that I am able to keep in contact with each entrant both in-game and on the forums.
Time of the Tournament: The tournament will begin as soon as the spots are filled. Matches will be required to be completed within 3 days of knowledge of your opponent.
Scorekeeping: Each tournament match will consist of one game, first to 10 wins. ALL matches will require a screenshot to be posted on the tournament thread before winners are advanced. In the event a screenshot cannot be posted, the screenshot will need to be pm'ed to me and I will post. If players are incapable of making screenshots, I will make myself available to witness matches and screenshot them myself.
Once a win is confirmed, the winner will be advanced in the bracket.
Tournament Rules: The following are the tournament rules. They will under no circumstances be deviated from. When you have entered the tournament through both the thread and forum bracket entry, you are agreeing to the following rules and will be ignored if you state you were not aware of a particular rule. If any rules are changed, it will be before the beginning of the tournament and I will post within the thread as well as make changes to this initial post.
1. First and foremost: Keep it clean and have fun. Vulgarity, rudeness, and disrespect either in the match or on the forums will result in an automatic disqualification. This will be at my discretion after appropriate research has been taken.
2. You are responsible for keeping up with this thread. The first matches are required to be played within 3 days of the beginning of the tournament. Each subsequent match is required to be played within 3 days upon learning of your next opponent. In the event a player is unavailable during the required timeframe, the loser from the previous round will automatically be advanced to fill the empty spot. In the event this occurs in the first round, I will select a substitute from individuals who did not register quick enough. So basically, there will be NO byes.
3. Each fight within a match will begin on "go." This is not a FFA tourney and rushing before the opponent is ready will result in a DQ.
4. Anything on the map can be used. This includes hiding, treehugging, and the vast space of the map (also known as running.)
5. Leaving the match is not permitted. Each participant needs to ensure they have a proper connection prior to playing and have adequate time to complete a match before agreeing to a time.
6. Each game should be password protected. You may allow witnesses to enter your match. However, realize if they are caught "assisting", the player in the match will be disqualified and removed from the tournament and the "assister" will not be allowed to witness future matches.
7. Only bears will play in this tournament. Knowledge of other classes playing will result in an automatic DQ.
