Why AL consumes a lot of mobile data?

Just wanted to share.. For almost an hour and a half playing AL using mobile data it consumed about 300+ MB (5gb to 4.79gb something), then i played MLBB for close to an hour (3 ranked games) it only consumed about 50+MB (4.79gb to 4.75gb) at high graphic settings. I only play 2 multiplayer based games (Arcane Legends and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang) while the other 2 games i actively play (Honkai: Star rail & Genshin Impact) just need internet to be played and also has its multiplayer aspect but i mostly just play alone (takes about an hour or less to play both game just doing dailies).

Just curious as to why such a small game use a lot of data? (Sorry if this is stupid comparing sizes and stuff ;-

I wouldn't call AL a small game but that's just me. What do you usually do in AL? Endless combat seems to be the most data-heavy activity in AL.

i think your device was doing smtng else in the background, mine says i spent 1.93GB in AL within 1 month and i play surely 12h a day atleast, was checking data usage since years ago and it was never as high as u got it now

Meanwhile 1 match in LoL is ~50MB, that would be roughly 18GB a month if i played as much as AL

Yeahh i think so too. 300mb for an hour and a half seems too high, i mightve had something in the background without knowing while i was playing. I tried playing for about 30mins earlier to test it and yeah it consumed less than 50mb lol. Also my AL data consumption last month, June, was 4.10gb total... but this month.. its 5.73gb lmao and its still July 16th?? Bruh

Arcane Legends might have more detailed graphics and larger content files compared to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. High-quality graphics and larger assets can require more data to download and display during gameplay.
