I did the quest 17 times and have yet to get a black dragon. Is it that rare?

Also will these dragons be tradeable in the future?

Did it twice and got it..just depends on your luck, as do all drops.

Got about under 25 runs and 6 smokes 0.0 but I'm glad I did

Ive probably got upwards of 150 dragons and about only 6 smokes now time to stash them and move around to other toons ;-)

Got smoke on my 9th turn and got smoke on 2nd turn on my mage, in total i have 9 smoke and 50 of each of other dragons

why? Seems like a waste of inventory space if they can't be traded.
