i think sts should implent an idea where the system automatically stops people from undercutting others by stupid amounts this is really annoying as i spent 5000 cr to list it and for average players quite alot even if they're not still decreases ur profit by 10k+ because of one looney:/

Ay, that happens a lot. Even I undercut sometimes. It's only to list it at the price they want for it and to sell it also.
Unfortunately it happens a lot and that is why items always decrease in price rapidly (apart from Xrays and squids)
What you should of done though is edit the names of the sellers out of the picture before posting on here lol.

Bad idea...what does it matter how much you get undercut for? In the end, you still got undercut.
I agree, better to be undercut by a penny or 1k than 50k-100k which I see happening... therefore damaging the value of the item.
But hey Ho. Lol I've lost over 500k in Auction Terminal with people doing this. It won't change. ;-)

Checking now, you went and undercut him by 1, and then someone else came in and undercut you by one and him by 2 credits. now he will relist and undercut both of you by 1 credit again, and so on, on until all 3 of you are raging and losing 20k+ a piece in listing fees. if it don't sell for 550,000 quick, it ain't going to sell for 549,999 quick either. whats the point of relisting or undercutting for 1 credit less.
They still want the max price, but undercut by 1 to get listed first, because alphabetically they will end up listed 2nd at the same price.
probably better to undercut by 20k right off the bat and see what happens, looks like everyone wants as close to max as they can, but
I do undercut people sometimes, but a lot of the time it's because the asking prices listed are too high. other times I will undercut for a quick sale and put a 10-20% reduction on my item compared to what is already listed. but if I do that I am wanting it sold in 3 hours or less so it really doesn't affect the person that already listed at top market price and probably has a 3 day listing.
It could be undercutting revenge for an earlier incident? I have a couple like that from when I was wanted to sell my Mechman. 3 people kept undercutting me by 1 credit each time I listed they would come in and list 1 credit less, so I gave up on selling it for now. But I haven't forgotten those 3 people Muwahhahhahaha! occasionally I will do it for revenge (lol) when someone undercuts me by 1 credit a couple times, I find what they are selling and undercut everything they list as much as possible, and keep it going for a week or longer by 1 credit and hopefully slow/stop their cash flow a bit. They have to get under my skin to make me do that, because it's costly to me as well.
Would be better if, when that happens, you can PM that person(s) and try to come to a deal between you guys on the listing, than going to war and undercutting each other by one credit and losing 5k a listing each.
