What kind of competitive content do players like?

I'd like to see more variety within Timeds. There are a lot of players who I know are capable of running but either don't have a team or have never tried. Having insanely high MS isn't as useful anymore, so I encourage everyone to give it a shot.

I would love to see a timed leaderboard feature for specifically HC Mode which would be a great feature/option to add which might potentially become very competitive just like you mentioned. It might sound risky for a majority of players but it provides the current ones to have something to try and stay competitive with each other. It opens the opportunity to gain more regular players to engage in Hardcore Mode which should drive in more platinum purchases on top of the competitiveness that comes with the HC Timed LB

The only possible anomaly there would be players dying on the timed LB to stay competitive. Which shouldn't be an anomaly because the customer would be going in on his or her own terms of knowing the risk of death.

It's a idea I think would be great to see happen nevertheless

Wasn't abuse, they didn't restrict classes back then even though we asked them to.
I thought you would use your brain here to understand I was talking about solo considering I mentioned RNG, group isn't really RNG. Yeah I came up with the 6x str ult rotation, worked like a charm.

As to the first part, that kind of player structured gambling would be exploited by black market to hide real world transactions

I really like using the gear I have acquired to farm for gold to buy more stuff. That’s probably my favorite thing to do in the game. Really don’t like it when I see significant loss in gold drops in maps.But, I’m just one person. My opinion is irrelevant.
Competition? I have played off-and-on for over a decade. I have never wnjoyed even trying to compete in the times and such as the same players win most of the time, as they should. The game was fun when friends played together. When my friends left the game it became harder to enjoy it. When I came back around a lv 41 ish I played from lv 40-lv 60 something alone as there were no players in those boards. If you are maxed there are players but if you are in between its like a ghost town in the game

Random runs have been ruined via how they monetized Kraken gear & added difficulty. Their solution has been ' Make a Party'. I do not think that has done anything for the game. So instead of balancing gear distribution they continue on as if everyone is fine, making it near impossible to enjoy the game casually. This is not entirely on point with the op, although this topic does have parralels to competition content.

The game is more elitist then it has ever been. I wont even talk about the "Expansion", lol.

I agree. Devs don't realize that most players who make a party only party with decent to OP players in order to have quick and efficient runs. Rarely people invite under geared players to begin with and most often that not they are shamed upon.

And yes, the most frustrating part is they just seem unbothered with all the negative feedbacks we give them. The negative feedbacks is higher than the positive feedbacks yet they just seem act like it's not a big deal.

Sooner or later more of their paying customers will start to drop support to their game. I've already cut down my spending because of the dissatisfaction I've been feeling. And sooner or later, I might just stop supporting it fully until they do something about the plethora of issues in the game instead of ignoring it.

STS will keep doing the same thing over and over again unless we start hurting them where it hurts, which is their income/pockets. I am not encouraging anyone to do that, but just a food for thought.

I think it would be cool for events to have brackets as well as overall leaderboards. Smaller rewards of course for bracket winners but it could provide newer players and players who can not take time away from work a chance to compete for something.

It depends on what you mean by competitive. Anything players would do to compete ends up being an issue for people. For example pvp is direct competion but comes down to gold/money/ping. One of those 3 things come up in every competitive aspect of the game. Immediately people complain someone out spends them or has better ping. If you want something everyone can do it would need to avoid those and I don't see how you can do it. In racing events it's ping. In timed events or maps it's ping and gold. In honor it's ping and normal it's all 3. People over seas can't compete with constant 350 to 500 ping. I don't see how you can get to a level playing field.

I came for rpg, questing,not to compete with other players. There isn’t much of that to do though.
