All vanities are meant to be seen. I'll dig through the options and see where we're not consistent here.

There are other options to hide our vanity helm/armors though, so I figured hiding our aura could be one of them as well.Originally Posted by asommers

Oh, your vanity aura. Why not just unequip the aura? Is this so other see it, but you don't? That seems odd to me.
I also don't think the Vanity Wisp option applies anymore. I'll take a look.

Not this, but because there are other options to disable our look for the vanity wisp so I thought why there isn't one for the vanity aura.
Yes if this isn't necessary then the vanity wisp option shouldn't be there for us to toggle on/off. If it was not intentional then the option to toggle on/off for the wisp should be removed as well considering the option to toggle on/off for the aura isn't present.

Hide Vanity Aura option has been added for the next update. It probably isn't necessary since there are no itemsets which include auras currently, so is functionally equivalent to unequipping it, but may as well in case sets that include them are added later.
Why don't you just get rid of that vanity?
Thank you. Low-end devices tend to lag a lot because there are too many animation visuals from the auras.
PS: Make it so that we can hide other player's aura as well. It gets laggy in lobbies.

Would be also nice to have an option to hide elixir effect, i like when its zen and sober
