Energy essence drop rates have been the same for years now but the level cap has kept going up.

This means that for the best essence drop rate you *must* farm content that is your level (or higher if possible).

So you're Level 20?

Best thing to do if you are not sure where to farm is to look at the World Map and ensure that you are fighting monsters that are your level or above. Dungeons don't tell you this on their own but the World Map has information about the level ranges that their associated campaigns encompass.

If you've been around for a while you'll know to go after content that is at or above your level.

For instance: if you are Level 80 and you're farming Level 20 content you're going to get the worst drop rate. On the other hand if you are Level 20 and you farm Level 20 content you'll get the best drop rate.
