I'm abit lost... is that ment to help make things go further up and down? Like for instance, that wall won't go down any further down. But you buy the thing you proposed, and the use of it would let the player put any item item further into the ground/sky?

No, it is used to create rooms in which to walk inside the house, as if you were making a new bedroom in your house in real life, it is just an expansion

Imagine that you bought the slot, the extra space would look something like this

Over time we will be able to make rooms to our liking and give use to the spaces we have (we already have too many and we only make extra rooms with decoration, I think that would give more use to those new spaces that we don't know where to use)

Interesting concept, another way might be to also sell rooms pre-built kind of like skyrim does. But then sell them off as a location type of a thing where they can sell them for chunks of plat.
For pre-built rooms:
-They can do small path/corridor(like the size you have in the picture) that leads into a chest room.
-a regular bedroom
-etc

Since were on the subject, they could also sell:
-floor designs: tile, different wood types, checkered
-wallpapers
-more HOUSE SLOTS... cuagh cuagh... who said that?
-a working upstairs/downstairs
-dressers/closets/huge or grand trunk of some sort that dresses and or maybe even holds some vanity sets. So people can display or switch out/put on and take off quickly.<ik this one is probably not the best idea but you get what I'm tryna do

But to be honest I really like your idea, mostly because it would allow/require players to be more creative. Which I love considering that's the whole point with house builds. Just gave that idea in case they have technical problems with one so that way they got options to consider.

I imagine in the case of a second floor it would look very curious, dark without locations, because I can't imagine how they would do it for a second floor visually, maybe it would look good if it were 1 basement under the house, then we would all see a location like land and there would be no problems with funds, just like expanding the basement it would be interesting to make a cinema or games room or something like that hahahaha

I would also like what you said about having different floors and walls, I think it would give a more unique detail to each house.

The 2nd floor going up may jot be feasible, but then a basement would be an upgrade forsure
