    Default What makes a "Good" event?

    Hi,

    This is a very subjective topic, but I'd like you guys to list things that would make events "good" for you. Maybe Devs can read and realise what they have been doing wrong especially with this event. Here's my take:

    1) An event must be almost as profitable as farming gold.

    - The gold drop can be less than portals, but make up for it in terms of vendor items and loot from bosses.

    - People would rather farm slightly less gold in a new maps over farming e-rahab and hedourah, it's a quite good change of pace.

    - Example: Labyrinth event. Some players preferred farming labyrinth for OP items instead of farming gold.

    2) Tier Rewards.

    - Ofcourse I know that not every event can be OP, and some events are used as fillers between OP events.

    - A badge for platinum tier can salvage even the worst of events.

    3) Event Vendor

    - Have Nice Vanities.

    - Being able to buy slots for reasonable price. Birthday event would have been a lot more fun if players could buy inventory slots for 500 tokens instead of 5k tokens. I doubt anyone bought any slots for that absurd price.

    - Unlocked Crates.

    4) LB Vanities

    - Doesn't apply to every event
    - Everyone loves a nice vanity set design.

    5) Devs actually thinking about the events

    - During birthday event, Inventory slots were 5k each. That's about 50 grand cakes which is about 10m+. Make it make sense please.

    - The new gems in harvest event gives useless stats for endgame players. Do Devs actually think who and how would players use this gem? Low level PvP is nearly dead.

    - Very less items in even vendor for Harvest event. Atleast add unlock crates? There's legit only vanity sets which are worth 4m and currency chest.

    Asking for slots is a waste of time, although it doesn't really matter now. Even if slots were brought back I doubt any new players would stay.
    The game is old and a lot of us are older too. Getting people together to farm events is nigh impossible. People stay in the hope things will get better.
    The long awaited expansion was a let down, sorry but it's true. The events that were once worth waiting for are not fit for purpose.
    Having weekly events was a mistake. Players a lot more knowledgeable than me have said it all better than I can and haven't been heard or listened to. One player in particular, I shan't mention his name warned us.

    +1 Ye it doesn’t make any sense that farming exclusive events that come once in a year is not as profitable as farming gold, something should definitely be done about it .

    A good event:

    1. Free to play
    2. Accessible to all players regardless of gear
    3. Inspires teamwork

    I loved the birthday event and we made millions off it! The badges and titles are much appreciated. The badge AP is very expensive to grind and so these freebies give us a little boost.

    Thanks STS for keeping this game alive. Whew it’s been a ride! Many of your players basically grew up on AL. Started as kids ages 11-13 and are now adults in college or in career. AL has always been here for us and many keep coming back for more.

    We appreciate the free events and fun items to collect in game.

    If I was to say one ‘thing’ to make an event awesome it would be for more pink colored vanity. Not a dress but a bad bass female looking set that is pink. No horns and no under boob.

    But I promise I won’t QQ if it doesn’t happen.

    To me a good event is one which grow with the very game's progression and that you await for through the whole year, for example egg zavier, awakening, forgotten vanity, birthday.

    Anything else is usually a 50/50

    Events I dislike:
    Require energy to be farmed, or requires items to be farmed in order to play
    (Like harvest)
    Or need a plat elixir for good drop

    Events that I will play hard:
    Have items that are exclusive to event, or have good bonus like badges or items for apps

    Events that catch a middle finger require plat

    I don't see why they don't make rng dungeon maps with random quests / puzzles that grant tokens on completion. Tokens can redeem cool vanities, a nice pet with great stats or open locked chests. Maybe do this for catacombs. Make the maps harder, bring in more strategy to do things.
    Main things that ruin events: repeative map, trash vanity, over priced trash legendary pet for tokens, gold drops are why people run the map, loot is extremely rare to the point where maybe 50 of the item exists, and the maps enemies are 1 shot with ease.
