Let's be real, new players won't even bother to get to lvl 86, this game is meant to end up like Pocket legends if nothing changes.

If you can---find some cheaper gear with good speed awakes Then switch to main gear when you get to your destination or integrate . Lower lvl gear works if you switch back and forth . Also buy some speed elixers. Just stock up on them before or after an event. To expensive during.

I've been playing for years, first as a guest then made my account in 2013. In those years I've seen many changes obviously.
Starting out was difficult but because we were all new, we played the game together. There wasn't as much one-upmanship as there is nowadays. Guildhalls were primitive compared to now, no furniture and no housing and no wisps and auras that seem so necessary today. Nobody had! loadouts to switch from one good luck armour to another and if you died you started from the beginning of the map unless you had plat.
There wasn't as many events, so this made farming better. If you looted a locked crate of the grand watch it was thrilling. If you looted a pet that was exciting too.
There was no discord and and virtually no drama.
What I'm trying to say is, people want too much very quickly. It took me and other old players a very long time...years.. to get the the things we now have. On the other hand, new players to the game don't have the camaraderie that we had. Reaching the endgame is not so much difficult as boring. Some of you, I have read through the posts, say you can make millions. Maybe you do but I don't think you are brand new to AL. I've seen some new players who need advice on how to get a trading permit for instance.

I'm not disputing anything that has been said, what I object to is the disrespect shown towards people who have mental problems and the way people who have Down's Syndrome has been portrayed. Many people who have Down's syndrome have a more fulfilling life than some players here.

Uncountable items are in the game now and players might feel overwhelmed by the choice they have.

Yes, all the memories you mentioned are good ones. I remember doing the Sigrun quest (the one where we had to fire the cannons in Kraag) for a chance at getting Cinder.
The most poignant memory is when the forums were full of nice people. We joked, had fun and Devs joined in too. I think Discord put an end to that, oh and the fashion for toxicity.
Justg called out "salty posts". I did like his "shifty eyes".
I am a bit of a diehard and still play but it's just to help out. I think I'll stop after this year though because not enough enthusiasm and I'm getting too old to keep up with all the young ones. The auras, wisps etc. are irritating and I've never been competitive so leaderboards are not my thing.
On my journey through the years of being an Arlorian, I have so many good memories. Yes there have been a few bad ones but the good outweigh the bad. So many nice conversations and lots of really nice people from all over the world. It breaks my heart that real life is not so good for some of them now.

I started playing back in 2013 active until the end of 2018 when my account got banned (fairly I would admit)

The game felt so alive, everything was fun and there was always something to do.

I installed the game a few day’s ago to catch up a bit with friends. Unfortunately i could only connect back with one. All the others have quit.

And this is based from how I am feeling playing right now. Firstly everything just feels so cluttered. And everywhere is a disco party. This 25 inventory nonsense is utter madness.

Everything in the game now really feels like it’s it has a paywall to it. If it wasn’t for a friend helping me out, I would have just pressed the uninstall button and gotten it done with.

Cities definitief feels way emptier then it use to be honestly.

And damn dis inflation take it’s toll on this game it is insane. But it does seem like there is more money going around.

In overal the game just doesn’t feel the same. And it’s depressing.

Worst part for me though is all my friends who stopped playing.

2014 player here, i share the memories of Lock Grand Crates 🥹 Malison, Snaggletooth, Warthjaw etc, even KM3 crates. Thats when AL was at its peak, i could easily spend all day farming crates or just chilling in Kraag or windmoore guild castle chopping it up with friends. I really enjoyed pvp when dang near EVERY level was active. I mean come on i pvped at Lv52… and it was a full map. I took a 2 year break from 2015-2017 and it was STILL fun. Nowadays since everything is behind a paywall, my motivation and drive for the game disappeared. Cant even farm for something a without already having 100m….. I believe when awakes got introduced in the game thats when the game started to die, but awakes were attainable at the time being around 70k NOW the most recent awakening event they were going for 500k! Them taking away looting crates was one of the biggest mistake (imo). The feel to grind isnt as rewarding when you see them fireworks and that red and gold beautiful crate, compared to a gold pile of 50k. Everything felt more rewarding, worth actually grinding for it. Let me not get started on them renigging inventory slots. Sadly this is a result of what money hunger does to a great game. I only have 1 bud that still plays with me, pvp is dead even though thats the only reason why i play. Events are ehhh, can’t farm events without cracked gear.. its just meh, now. Hopefully a dev reads this and consider something, but knowing @CINCO he is just going to wave it off like he always does.
