What's Elite Mode?

I was just checking the map and noticed elite mode. What's this?

Well without having played AL yet I could assume its the difficulty of a dungeon. Like on O&C or other online RPG's

Current Elite Mode requires you to be level 15 or 16. Some of the best items can be found there. Bring a good group!

I'm guessing it drops the best loot and you have to pay ~50 plat for a special elixir for three runs.

There is no cost to enter.

It is a set of maps u can play at higher levels where the maps you played before ar now insanely hard

Let it be known, elite mode is noy for the weak. A party of 3 (including me) on second map (brackenbridge) took 20-30mins to complete and a few deaths, alot of pots, and skill

It took a party of 4 around 1 hour ish to clear the first map on elite mode...all the monsters are insanly OP in a good way lol.
I've only done it twice and have not seen a rare drop yet but i've heard it's where you can loot the legendary pets

Great loot, tough mobs and each Elite Map will have a timed leaderboard on the start screen.
