Many medieval like mmorpgs have 3 classes and "pets" or "summons"

If you want to compare take a look at runescape. It's been out since 2000 and they've got 3 classes with pets that can attack in combat.

I've heard of both Torchlight and Runescape. There is another game, that is kinda remotely close. It's called Fate

Torchlight is awesome. It's more like Diablo than AL, though.
