Hello everyone!
I'll be conducting an interview series to honor some awesome players for their accomplishments and contributions to the community. I'll be adding to this as I go and possibly have to redo this if it doesn't end up being what I'd like it to be. With my schedule, I'd be shooting for 1-2 interviews per month.
Interview with Mohok: The Ambassador of Arlor
Mohok has become something of an ambassador in the world of Arcane Legends. Starting his journey back in 2013, he was just a kid from Saudi Arabia, armed with nothing but a tablet and a passion for gaming. With limited gaming options at the time, Arcane Legends became his go-to, offering him endless hours of fun and escape. Like many young players, he didn't have the financial means to purchase platinum, the in-game currency needed to buy those vanities he really wanted. But that didn’t stop him from enjoying the game.
Fast forward to today, and little Mohok has grown up—not just in years but also in success. Having built a thriving business, he's now able to indulge in the childhood game he never let go of. His investment in the game has allowed him to acquire all the vanities he once dreamed of. A true warrior at heart, Mohok has remained loyal to the warrior class since day one. When asked why he’s stuck with this class for so long, his answer was simple: “Warriors just look cool.” They just look strong, and that’s what he admired about them most back in 2013.
These days, Mohok spends much of his time adding to his in-game home, transforming it into an Arlorian art gallery. If you haven’t yet checked it out, do yourself a favor: head to the nearest home seller, hit "The Home Show," and type "Mohok" in the search bar. His collection is vast, though somewhat hidden—he’s run out of display holders, so there’s still a few hundred vanities waiting on holders so they can be displayed. Be sure to revisit his home from time to time; there’s always something new to find. When he’s not building his collection, Mohok enjoys the thrill of opening chests, so if you have any spare chests lying around, he’s more than happy to take them off your hands.
Currently, Mohok is part of the guild Entity, a community has the highest appreciation for. To him, the members of Entity and the Arcane Legends community are like family. Over the years, he’s watched the game evolve, and he believes the developers have done an exceptional job. The game is far more welcoming to free players now, with gold farming and merching accessible to everyone, regardless of whether they buy platinum. The in-game marketplace is thriving, and the developers consistently deliver events that keep the community engaged. However, despite these improvements, not everyone in the community shares Mohok’s optimism.
Mohok is keenly aware that Arcane Legends is in a "survival" state—not dying, but not thriving either. He urges the player base to treat one another, and the developers, with kindness and patience. While criticism can sometimes be harsh, Mohok trusts that the dev team is working diligently to provide a virtual community that players can enjoy.
For newer players or those striving to bridge the gold and gear gap, Mohok has some practical advice:
1. Create a level 1-3 or 10-11 account specifically for farming events.
2. Use the gold earned from these events to invest in solid gold loot gear.
3. Start a new account to run content with that gear and begin your journey to success.
