This isn't a bad thing. Kraken (and Rusk) Arcanes are currently the most powerful gear in the game.
Arcane Catacombs is meant to be especially difficult. Elite Elder Woods is meant to be accessible to endgame players with modest gear.
We don't plan on increasing the drop rates of the Tektite chest or the amount of gold that drops - so it's a good thing that difficulty remains nominal.
Agreed - when I test with my mixed sets on my 'not so OP' toons, my intermediate Pet companions, and my middle-aged reflexes, the Elite Elder Woods is a death-march. Making this content significantly harder would alienate more players than it would entertain.
Do not despair, my OP Legends! While the Elite Elder Woods may not be the KDR-crushing meat-grinder you were expecting, the team is developing a new content system that is designed to present you with the most deadly challenge you have ever experienced in Arlor. More details will be coming in the next few weeks and I really hope that you find it an appropriate match for your skills, experience, and gear.
