i agree you until one point, making igns legal to buy and sell with in game items or currency. but banned igns are shouldnt comeback in my opinion. or in worst case maybe we will have username and display name diffirent. username feature will stop or reduce using alts to make fake offers, scamming, begging in maps or whatever else possible (i dont know if its a thing but, will multiple characters in one account be in same LB? if yes then it will also be prevented with this way, making LB by username).

end of the day, having a unique and cool ign is hard i agree with that, even tho i tried in 3 diffirent languages i still couldn't have something i would really like to have as my ign. i dont see as its a big deal tho.

for example, if I do a lot of wrong things and then sell my nickname, whoever uses it will bear all the trouble for my actions. and even if you can prove through history that the nickname came from someone else, how are you going to prove that that person wasn't you, getting rid of suspicion and throwing the nickname into another account of yours, thus leaving the blame on another character who you won't use it anymore.

This thread doesn't makes sense at all. Selling ign gives more scammers some opportunity for it. That's why this should prohibited at all times. Even if you can't think some ign's or you can. But this can get everyone get scammed.
For example:
Player 1 Post some spam message on some outposts
Player 1: I am buying Ign's for Gold

What would you think if you saw that? You're going to doubt, Right? I don't know what you going to point on this but this should not be legal.
