    Default Preview - Season 35 Elite Timed LB Difficulty; Zaarus, Eating Machine Nerfs

    Legends,

    Season 35 will soon be upon us!

    In the interest of transparency I wanted to bring some upcoming balance changes to your attention.


    Elite Timed LB Difficulty

    You won't be surprised (at least not very surprised) to learn that monster health and damage will again be adjusted for the new Season.

    Monster health will be increased by ~20% - though the specific percentages per monster vary. Monster damage output will be increased by ~12 to 15%

    Well-geared, experienced Legends should have no problem crushing the Leaderboards with this modest content buff... and I relish seeing your top scores and fastest times as always!!


    Zaarus and Eating Machine Nerfs

    It's an 'open secret' that Zaarus weaponry are significantly overpowered and are long overdue for a nerf. This nerf will be coming with Season 35.

    (Time Permitting: add a DALL-E image of Cinco trying to stuff his big fat butt into a time machine so he can go back and fix what he broke)

    Powers of the Eating Machine gear may not be quite as well-known (since there aren't tons of fully-maxed Zodias Spirit gears), nevertheless they remain rather outsized and will see an appropriate adjustment when Season 35 hits.

    Obviously the Zaarus and L60 Eating Machines are not the only OP gears in the game... but they are the ones that will be affected this time around. We will endeavor to provide info on potential nerfs to other pieces of gear (and sets) that may need to be tuned up in the future.


    Hedourah Shield Buffs

    Some of you will also be interested in changes coming to Hedourah and Elite Hedourah.

    The big baddie of the Elder Woods Campaign is going to benefit from the aforementioned timed LB buffs.

    In addition, Hedo will gain a slight buff to the duration of his shield (~3 sec overall) and an increase to how much damage is mitigated while the shield is active (~2% on average).



    Gold Nerfs

    A while ago I mentioned that I would be nerfing gold in a certain popular areas of the game. I don't want to do this right now - and I currently have no plans to nerf gold loot during Season 35. Gold loot / gold inflow will be reevaluated next season. Obviously if we discover some exploit or some crazy OP thing that demands that adjustments be made, we will make them. There just are not any explicit plans to curb the gold loot inflow from current maps. Also, given the aforementioned adjustments to difficulty, the need for major gold loot nerfs may be unnecessary in the near term.

    Nice!! Those nerfs are necessary to keep the balance on the new arcane set, when can we expect those changes? Because season 35 already started, and yet the evolution aps aren't out yet aswell, thanks for letting us know in advance!

    The Elite Timed LB's should all still be suspended (I'll double-check).

    New APs are planned to come out next week.

    Good job, this will give some worth to rogues, especially in Hedo Timed run. And will actually make warrs invest in primary stat, not just ms.
    I didn’t understand one thing, do those 3 additional seconds in Hedo shield means u killed bp or made it harder? If second , it’s totally ok. If its first thing i mentioned, gl shud be increased.

    I wonder if i'll be able to solo +20% hp Hedourah with nerfed Neptaris. New armor should help. I welcome all changes, even potential gold drop nerf in future. Machine Blade and OP, that doesn't go together.

    Nerfing the neptaris a bit is the only thing I see needed to be done with zaar. Its still a very weak set compared to kraken gears for instance other than the neptaris and maybe hyperos gun.
    Aquaris is a bit op but krak staff and gun beats it I think, daggers are a huge pain to use; proc or die situation, bow I have not seen any one utilize it because of how annoying it is, gun has a massive damage output when combined with kraken procs but its majorly rng based. The aegis is trash still against mobs.

    Neptaris and Hyperos has the most single target damage in this game and they are the only weapons that should be nerfed at 86 dungeons

    Although I haven't seen a lvl60 zodias aegis, adjustments are somewhat welcomed (not really). Zodias blade is far from op though, hoping for a buff or revert of its nerf.

    If neft neptaris and zod war will be very weak when fighting bosses, for example when fighting hedo the damage caused by krk sword is really weak against war so war is more effective when using nep and zod, hope sts can consider not neft or neft a little bit.. thank you developer !!!

    People should also have the intellect to understand that these weapons were out of balance and needed adjusting. Anyway what else would people spend their gold on they make playing the game. No point in being a Scrooge Duck. Their investment served them well while it lasted. Time for something new.

    Yeah understandable concern. Don't worry yet though. I'm sure with season 35 nerfs there's also going to be methods in places to still do alot of damage on par with the other classes as Warrior. The new Arcanes and gear will definitely be helpful in enabling this. So rest easy
