Daily Reward time frame

Anybody know how long a player has to claim their daily reward? I recently lost my chain because I was too late in claiming it.

As I recall, I went the previous evening to claim it around 7 PM, and was told I had several more hours to wait before the 24 was up. Then I went back around 4 PM the following day, and received a message saying that I had waited too long. I always assumed we had 24 hrs from the end of the 24-hour wait, but maybe that's not the case. Does anybody know how long we have to collect our daily reward losing out?

Well, I hit it about 4 hours late and I was out of luck on all three of my toons.
