Hardcore Mode (Reusing Old Suggestions)

I was recently going through old suggestions and came across mutliple people discussing the idea of hardcore mode:

I personally think this is a great idea which could offer new limited rewards only gained through hardcore mode, The whole aspect of reviving etc should be kept either to a bare minimum or another idea i thought of is once a hardcore character dies they lose their hardcore status, while also keeping the hardcore titles/items (or whatever is added to such a mode!) along with them as they would have been gained while in the mode.
