Double boss loot elixir question

Bosses often have an extra loot in addition to a regular loot. E.g. badges, stones in events etc.

Does boss 2x loot work only on a regular loot or also on that extra loot roll as well?

Can a dev please explain exact mechanics how it works? Thanks!

I been buying this elixir but now I am in doubt if it is good only to get 2x pink junk and tokens in this event.

Although it is disappointing I really appreciate your honest reply. Any plans to make it work for special loot as well? Because as it is it's not attractive at all.

I do know. I have been buying them regularly for years. Mostly for Eggzavier where it was awesome but also for other purposes as well. I do feel kinda scammed if you ask me and I didn't praise the fact the real mechanics are revealed only now. Whether it was on purpose or just overlooked we don't know.

When a boss drops something every time it's killed (regular loot) like Eggzavier or pet rescue event if it even comes back. Frankly, nothing else worth using 2x boss elixir comes to my mind.

All other great loot (badges, gems, vanity etc) is a rare extra loot in addition to the regular boss loot and as confirmed above this extra loot is not affected by 2x boss loot elixir.

When you say regular drops does that include vanities? Because I have looted 2x super rare event vanity drops using this elix before.
