What's up with the servers?

I find this really frustrating.
It takes around a minute to log in, plus another half a minute to connect, authenticate and stuff..
I remember back when AL was released on Chrome, it was lag-less.
No server problems or anything.
Is it because that there are too many players out there that the server can't support it?
An answer from the Mods/Devs are most appreciated.
I think the same thing happened to PL yesterday.
STS games crisis..?
Something wrong with the server?

I have paid too much money on this game for it to always crash....Their servers are horrible....The dev team always replies to my questions though so I am happy with the c/s lvl.They need to fix server problems especially with all of the money that they are making......
