Not as far as I know. AL is free to play, both on your iPhone/Android device, and also through a Flash-enabled web browser on your computer. The only way STS makes money is if you enjoy the game so much, you want to buy Platinum to use as in-game currency. And since the games are a lot of fun, you just may want to do that!
