On the forums, there is usually one thread a month talking about gold loot farming.
So this thread is dedicated towards that discussion.
So lets assume a hypothetical scenario. Assume that Gold Loot either gets REMOVED OR a 50% NERF.
In this what if scenario, How would players make gold?
A.) Leaderboard got nerfed (pre-nerf only stacked or 24/7 farmers would make gold via leaderboard)
B.) Events are very inconsistent. Valuable items that drop will require players to 24/7 farm to obtain or have a CHANCE of obtaining!
C.) Gold loot removal or 50% nerf would encourage plat purchasing, making a massive p2w environment (rip f2p, poorer, AND new players)
D.) Only a few knowledgeable or experienced players know how to make proper investments to make gold overtime.
In the scenario of a 50% Nerf, players with 1200% GL and more would still make about 100k per run. The problem of inflation wouldn't be fully solved, most players would just be barred from gold loot farming.
An removal would just mean EVERYBODY makes less gold and causes more problems than inflation.
Regardless, a Nerf (>40%) or the removal of gold loot farming would hold devastating effects for the game itself. New, poorer, f2p, and light spenders would likely quit Arcane Legends.
The only quick solutions to inflation is to increase auction gold tax to a base 1K gold OR increase the capacity limit of gold to at least 100B.
Overall, STS I highly advise you to avoid nerfing gold loot farming anytime soon (you'd need to implement a great alternative) and to certain players who still want gold loot nerfed or removed, please provide suggestions for alternate ways for all players to consistently make gold!
THANK YOU!
