Requirements to Progress in Elite Maps?

So I want to achieve all of the achievements regarding killing all of the elite bosses. I was progressing smoothly, wasting numerous potions of course, until one day I go to continue and I did not progress to the next map. I beat the previous map the day before, moved onto the next instance, and logged out. However, I was unable to continue and was forced to go back to the previous map.

Are there any requirements besides beating the level in order to progress? I did die once on that map, but I have the achievement for defeating the boss and I also have a recorded personal best time. I don't want to have to play it over and over and waste potions since my main goal is to just beat it, not to get the legendary items.

You don't even have to kill the boss to progress. You can run right past him to the exit and unlock the next elite map. If for some reason a map was locked for you, and you don't want to take the time to beat it again, you could always do that.

Thanks. I'll have to try that to just move on to the next instance. Still confused why the next instance isn't already unlocked anyway.

The BEST way or the Easiest is to use a SPEED potion and run right through all of the elite maps.
Not a single kill and you will unlock them all..

When you enter a new map make sure you go over to the teleport thing. That's what unlocks the map for you to go directly to them from the world map.
