    Default Elemental damage elixir in cursed woods doesn't work as expected

    I tried to use +25% shadow damage in cursed woods elixir along with blood star gun that deals part of its damage as shadow damage and check overall damage dealt to the boss using new damage stats meter.

    What I noticed is that shadow damage share stays roughly the same irrespective whether I use elixir or not.

    Is it by design?

    Added: it seems the elixir works but grants less than 25% boost

    Thanks for looking into this! Appreciate it!

    It seems that "as expected" is different for everyone so let's try to define it.

    I did 3 runs with and without +25% shadow elixir to make sure results are consistent. I reset damage stats before the boss every time and used the same gears/pet/buffs throughout and noted down damage stats after each run.

    Actual Total Shadow Damage:
    - without elixir: ~70M
    - with elixir: ~79M

    Expected: 70M x 1.25 (25%) = 87.5M

    Question: why there's 8.5M difference between actual and expected?
    Can you share your math please if 79M is as expected?

    My math was: Change the weapon to not have variable damage. Shoot mob, look at shadow damage, reset meter, use elixir, shoot mob, look at shadow damage. See 25% more.

    But blood gun says 35% shadow, not up to 35% so I assume it is fixed share of that weapon total damage, no? Is that not the case and in reality elemental damage share fluctuates?

    Just wonder which weapon did you use in your test?

    Like I said I did multiple runs to make sure results are consistent and they were. I didn't see a difference of more than 1M between tests so it seems that variable damage you mentioned is not reflected in my numbers.

    The 35% elemental is fixed. The gun ability damage has a min/max range normally, just more obvious to test without the random component.
    At any rate, verified it's working, so closing.
