Default 120fps option on supported iphones

hey. i've been plying on an s24 ultra for a couple hours now and had to switch to an iphone 15 pro due to low battery and noticed that the iphone is running on a noticeably lower framerate right away (i'd assume 60) even tho it does support up to 120hz for apps and games. is this an intended thing for possible overheating issues? or is there any other reason they don't run on 120fps? do i maybe have some weird setting enabled that prevent the game from running on high refresh rate? would love to get a little bit of info regarding this or if others experienced similar 'issue' regarding this topic

thank you for your time ^^

Looks like the frame rate limiter is set to 120, so it should work. Check your Battery Saver in the game settings and make sure it's all the way to the left.

If it doesn't we'd probably need a device for testing or the the way we sleep is just enough to not hit 120.

it's set to the very left yes. it's seems that it's a problem with the phone itself since it's not running any games at 120fps after some quick testing with different games and such. frame limiters of any kind aren't enabled, it's not overheated, etc. i'll try around with a couple of things and maybe reset all settings in hope to find anything. i'll test things out on a different iphone pro model aswell. will be getting back to this thread with an update in a bit

    thank you very much

As a side note, I hit 120+ using our development client (Windows).

the problem is regarding the performance on iphone pro models capping out at 60fps, phones which should run games at 120fps (if supported)

i tested it with pubg mobile and managed to get 120fps after i applied them via the games settings. switched back to arcane legends right away in hopes to keep the 120 fps but it seems to have gone down to 60 again. as mention the slider is also set to the very left.

my only guess could be that the slider varies between android and ios. ios being 60fps on the very left while android sits at 120fps on the very left. but i don't know if that could be a reason, i'm no programmer

the side by side comparison between the iphone 15 pro and the s24 ultra (which runs arcane legends at stable 120fps) does show that the the iphone is somehow locked to a lower framerate
the iphone does not have an app specific battery option like android does where you can give 'unrestricted battery access' (which ensures no fps loss even when the phone gets hot)

kind of clueless at this point tbh

another discovery i made some time ago is regarding the ‘Hiberian Maze Aura’ and it’s animation behavior. it’s moves choppy on already mentioned iphones, yet buttery smooth on my s24 ultra which also implies some fps issues with the iphone models

edit: it is the only aura so far which showed this kind of behavior

i made a video showcasing the difference in the auras animation. follow the ends of the blue lines and you should notice the difference right away
