    Default Make Locked Crates Rare Again + Add Materials for Mythic Crafting

    Summary:
    Locked Crates should feel rare and exciting again, like the old Rengol crates. Alongside that, the game needs new materials/fragments that drop from different maps, bosses, quests, and events, which players can collect to craft mythic gear (helm/armor/set). This gives both a rare chase (crates) and steady farming goals (materials), just like when the Glinstone mythic set at level 46 kept players engaged.



    Problem
    • Locked Crates are too common and not special anymore.
    • Loot isn’t motivating enough for players to farm.
    • There is no new crafting path that gives long-term goals like in past expansions.



    Proposal
    1. Locked Crates = Rare again
    • Adjust drop rates to Rengol-era rarity.
    • Keep them exciting, valuable, and worth looting.
    2. New farming materials/fragments
    • Add special drops from dungeons, bosses, world mobs, and events.
    • These fragments/materials can be collected and used in crafting recipes.
    3. Crafting Mythic Gear
    • Materials + gold + rare components = mythic helm/armor/set.
    • Similar system to the Glinstone set at lvl 46, giving a long-term farming goal.
    4. Balance & Economy
    • Crates stay rare and valuable.
    • Materials are farmable from many sources to keep all maps relevant.
    • Crafted mythic gear can be bind-on-equip or tradable to support the economy.



    Why this helps
    • Brings back the excitement of looting a rare crate.
    • Gives players meaningful farming goals with materials.
    • Revives the economy and trading scene.
    • Creates long-term motivation, like when the Glinstone mythic set was introduced.

    +1 for new limited lock crates loot again with limited stuff on it from events

    I think having locked crates with decent loot at least would be something. Marshland, Twilight, Zodias, Elder Woods or Valley crates really don't offer anything special and happen to randomly drop in zones where they technically should not drop. Maybe even rotating the old locked crates from years back as periodical drop in new maps would be something worth to go for.

    -1 for this one, old locks got such limited goodies. They even mention no intention of bringing back the same type of vanities again

    +1. ever since locked crates became devalued, the entire economy tanked cuz the only other option to make money that was left was gold loot, which as we know resulted in the catastrophe that is today's AL market.

    We've somewhat moved away from locked crates as loot. That said, adding more campaign chase loot/crafting is on the list of things to do.
