Official Thread for L35

Logged in to the game today only to find a ton of players suddenly interested in PvPing at level 35.
I thought it was necessary to make this thread for general discussion and questions regarding farming, builds, and equipment. If this thread becomes active enough, maybe we can even get some input from a moderator on possible balance patches.

Let’s start by discussing what is currently banned from use in my lobbies, as well as in the lobbies of everyone else who helped bring back OG PvP. “OG” refers to equipment released before 2018, with the exception of L30 Swamp Amulets and Blackheart Shields.

Banned Equipment
L25 Cyber Elite Armors

Whamm, Blamm, and Zamm are all banned from use. The stats these items provide are extremely unbalanced and are the main reason why levels 25–45 have been inactive for years, until a few of us decided to bring back OG 35.

L25 Cyber Elite Weapons

There are a few exceptions to these weapons. As it stands, I see no problem with using the 1H KABAM Laser Wand or the WHOMP Psyborg Sword.
However, the ZOINKS Psycho Blaster, KABAM Psyber Staff, and WHOMP Plasma Psychosword are officially banned for the same reasons as the elite armors mentioned above.

L25 Valentine Elite Helmets and Armors

These items are less extreme than the other level 25 elites, but the amount of armor they provide is still excessive. The L25 Valentine Fighter’s Frock, for example, is as strong as some L50 Shadow Cave armors.
There’s simply no way we can allow these items to be used.

L20 Haunted Weapons

Each of these weapons provides an absurd amount of armor, creating an unfair advantage in fights. For instance, someone using just the longsword can have as much armor as a full 4-piece setup, which is not fair to your opponent who may be using a copper set with less damage and armor.
Therefore, Haunted Weapons are banned from use.

L10 Valentine Rings and Amulets

These are banned from use. Don’t assume that just because rings and amulets have no visual indicators we won’t notice, I’ll assure you we can easily tell the difference between them and platinum rings paired with swamp amulets.
If you use these, you will be called out on it.

We will not engage with you and will not hesitate to team if you try to force fights using these items. Levels 25–45 have been dead for years now. You had every opportunity to play with these items if you enjoyed them so much, yet not a single lobby was hosted at 35 from 2022 to 2025 until a few of us decided to bring back OG a couple of months ago. Now that 35 is active, you decide to show up?

I hope that they can make a restriction for items maybe a separated lobby or totally banned the elite items to lower lvls pvp.

Just like the logic of how honor pvp works, I'm pretty sure the code is similar to it and wouldn't be that hard to implement. But for my opinion it would be better if they can implement a separate lobby for Oldschool pvp

They should work similar to how Valentine sets do. Their stats are nerfed heavy until you have every piece equipped which activates the set bonus. The set bonus itself only applies to PvE.

Hello Panda. In terms of meta, I use a few setups. Champion’s Fine Platinum Band (10 Damage, 2 Crit) with Mamboza’s Elvish Amulet is a very solid choice. You get high crit, usually above 20, along with high mana regeneration for sustained fights.

A second option, if you have the first 3 items, would be the STR Halloween Bone Set paired with a pink L35 Head/Doll, Acrobat’s Fine Platinum Band (10 Damage, 2 Dodge), and the Elvish Amulet of Mastery. This setup has incredible dodge potential, which is by far the most powerful stat for a mage.

Thanks for the help! Have gotten my hands on the rings (Found them on old toon ) But seem to have sold or lost my STR halloween helm/Armour so in the process of buying my own!

PvP changes for this game should still happen, often times there are more PvP players online than town sitters or pvers. I don't see why we can't just make elites unable to equip below level 50 in pvp. Something like that would fix much of the issue. This thread and the post about damage modifiers being broken in PvP are what THE PLAYERS want.
