Expansion Revamped

Allow only new characters to play the expansion. People would have to play every campaign up until the expansion.

Disable stash, disable auction, trade and gifts with old characters.

The new characters would be able to interact with each other, as well as buy items in auction sold by the new characters.

This change will put everyone on the same playing field and allow everyone to play the expansion with the gears it drops.

Fun and fair for old players as well as new players. This is also a good chance to reintroduce balance, and allow legendary gears to be useful while making arcanes/mythic just a little better for those who want to push lbs.

This is actually where we're headed with seasonal characters for season 41 (and the loot revamp that goes with it) in that seasonal characters will have a closed economy and become non-seasonal characters at the end of the season.

We'll be releasing more information soon. No additional details at this time.

I just want to ask if the playing field will be even, or the will the people opening locks in seasonal chars have substantial advantage?

Well assommers confirmed this is where they are headed.

It works well in PoE2 and players love it, i dont see why it wouldnt work in AL.

Unless you dont want anyone else but yourself to have fun and enjoy the game?

In what way would this be a negative change? Allowing everyone to have a fair shot at seasonal lb as well as making things easier for newer players or players with weak gears?

Isnt the elitist mindset what kills the game? Making the game fun for few players while keeping it miserable for everyone else?

As someone who has been on top player lb for multiple years, I am down for making things easier for others and having a competitive seasonal lb as long as opening lockeds doesnt give an overwhelming advantage.

Sure, all �rich lb top players� care so much for new and f2p players i just wanna puke of it. Im all for helping new player base, but watering down non existing player base wont do it. It will just make maps more empty untill this becomes solo rpg game lol

It already is a solo rpg game for the most part. Maybe seasonals will end up playing together as their old friends cant boost them nor do they have access to their old gears.
