    Default Dune boss spawn

    Thank you sts for increasing the gold loot in dune. It wasn't a significant amount, but it has encouraged more players to finally farm there and thus the runs are faster. Here's my observations. We have some players that are nice enough to shout B when he spawns and wait for others, but there are some bad apples who just go ahead and kill on sight. They couldn't wait 10 seconds when others were clearing a wing of a dungeon.

    I think it would be nice to have a message when the boss spawns and also a gate to give a chance for others to reach there and it drops when everyone reaches or after an amount of time like in event maps. This wouldn't affect the nice people running the map now, but would weed out the selfish players.

    How it wouldn't? gate adds like 5 sec delay per run for NICE PEOPLE (who are not just leeching lol) and for parties, consider that 1 run with remap is around 30sec, with gate it becomes 35 sec, so it's like + 16% time required to run map (almost same as -16% total gold per hour)

    I mean I wouldn't care about random map, add gate or don't, but STS will add it even to party runs where gates no need at all

    But in general, dune maps will die in week-two lol when ppl realize that buff wasn't that much, so who cares, can just delete whole dune expansion or put 100 gates per map to reach boss, nothing will change

    I also agree with that, and they should also reduce the number of mobs that need to be eliminated before the boss appears. It would also be nice to show how many mobs are still left before the boss appears

    This is somewhat difficult because the bosses are all different in how they 'spawn'. We'd need to review every boss to determine when to display the message.

    Maybe we can start with Duneveil and slowly work backwards.

    Thank you for considering! I think that it's only affecting dunevil floor one with randoms and it's a non issue the deeper you go. People are more courteous after floor 1 or are in private parties. The worst players currently are the speediest ones who will take the most direct path to the boss. Other players are still clearing the side wings and as soon as the boss spawns, they make no attempt to wait and just kill the boss. The better players are the ones who will wait 5 seconds and then just kill the boss regardless of whether or not everyone has arrived. Something just doesn't sit right with me when I observed this. At the moment, I think a gate is more useful because if the boss spawns, other players will just shout boss even if there isn't a broadcast. Just don't like it when people are putting in the effort to help and leave with nothing because people are trying to make the most gold/h.

    Why would adding gates to a party run be a problem? I am assuming you would want everyone to be present before killing the boss, how does a gate stop this?

    There is no “we can start the boss while waiting” arguments because dune bosses die instantly when playing with a good party anyways.

    It isnt about us, its about the other players who dont have the fastest SS.

    And there are no leechers because a good player can pretty much solo the entire map. If you believe people are leeching in dune, it says more about you than anyone else.

    If you think I'm undergeared or even still need to farm then you're sadly mistaken. I farm because it's fun helping others and having gold to collect new things keeps me going. Despite being able to solo and power through the boss, I would never rush to kill the boss just so I don't lose "16%" maximum gold per hour. Sadly that's the price you're putting on your ethics and ruining the gaming experience for those who don't get there in time. Hopefully you stay in op parties such that random players new or old won't have to deal with your selfishness.

    I think it would be much much better if you could add like a counter or like a bar, when bar reach 100% boss ready to spawn, or also a counter like in labyrinth, to determine how many mobs we gotta kill before boss spawn. I'm against any gates or stuff that slows the run. Would be good also if at least in map1 you could lower the numbers of side paths and make it as straight as possible beside that one rare time there is a mini. Also please add like a treasure room worth opening or, in absence of that, 3 chests After boss dies with some significant gold or chance to drop badge or title

    I suggest that secondary paths that could have chests opening this give a 15% gold loot buff (unstackeable) and chests gold drop rate increase to 3.5k - 6k max.
