Friend or no friend
It can happen to anybody but this message is more for the less experienced players situations to look out for, here are some examples. A well-known player at the time one day we kind of hit it off so it seemed and we would message each other joking around having fun and we discuss different topics. Warning signs , red flags not before long he would say things like I'm borrowing the set right now from my friend or guildmates and then he would mention sets that he has out that other people are borrowing and he try to make it seem like he and his friends and guild mates do it all the time that they borrow each other sets all the time they try to make it seem like it's normal no big deal they try to normalize it or make it appear that way then soon after that he's hinting around and trying to feel me out to see if I would let him borrow some of my expensive stuff in my head I was just laughing at this cornball and I told him straight up that I don't let people borrow stuff or gold and I don't ask nobody to borrow their stuff or gold I told him I never have and I never will. So I thought that would be the end of that but this cornball would try to nonchalantly keep at it he tried in many different ways and then one day soon after that in a slick way he tried to borrow some gold acting like he didn't have any gold and he needed this for this and that and it was important what a cornball even try to pity me into it so I told him bro sell some of your stuff or borrow it from the people you claim you borrow things with. Couple days later he went inactive for a long time then I saw him again and then I noticed he started playing on his alternate accounts. Another example there's a player that we would talk daily now the set I'm talking about he's owned and sold multiple times and he would wear that set often. Well one day out of the blue he said hey if I give you this item for collateral would you just let me try on that set so I can see what it looks like on me and the collateral item was half the price and in my head I'm like this cornball is trying me he knows darn well what it looks like on him I haven't talked to him since. Many more but last example these are all well known players keep in mind this one I never even talked to before this cornball private messaged me to come to his house then he asked if I let you hold something for collateral would you let me try on that aura what a cornball what they'll do if you say yes they'll give you an item even if it's similar value usually it's not they'll give you an item they don't care about and then walk away with yours. Now I know there's certain people out there that have some established relationships that they do borrow things from one another but that's a different story but even then you have to be a little weary I wouldn't recommend it to anybody unless your friends in the real world not just somebody you met in the game it's always good until it's not. I'll tell you between the merchants games and different experiences like these I lost a lot of respect for a lot of big names well known names established names . A lot of these big named merchants not all of them but a lot of them they have no shame in there dirty tactics only a few of them buy and sell clean.
