just wanted to have a discussion on this and get some inputs from vets of the game or maybe even devs.
i think many of us at this point know about the nekro craft quest, and it is really fun one. but crafting the thing is actually insanely hard almost entirely because the vials are super super rare nowadays, especially post the 2017 planar arena nerf. factor in how expensive the vials really are, and you potentially end up spending more than the sell price of the actual egg itself, thus buying isn't an option either.
which leaves those of us still interested in crafting this with only one option - farming the vials.
going through the forums, i came across several claims and as someone intending to farm the vials, i wanted to clarity on those if possible obviously.
1. what is the best place to vials to drop? the quest says elite shuyal, tindrin and planar tombs but this thread seems to claim drops from shuyal were silently removed? that leaves planar tombs and elite tindrin, so in terms of odds, which ones the best?
2. another thread also claims that the rare mini-bosses in tindrin also have a chance of dropping them. im not sure a specific mob does carry higher chance than normal but would love to be proven wrong here.
ive ran elite shuyal, tindrin planar tombs a combined 1000+ times and have looted only 2 vials so far. idk if these are good odds or terrible, so general info on the drop rates would also be superb.
i can understand why the drops were nerfed considering how the vials had depreciated quickly and eggzavier was also a thing back then, but circumstances right now are different and maybe do warrant a change - at least according to me.
overall, given that the drop rates are abyssmal, both in the maps and the chests, something like this event would be super helpful in my opinion.
lastly, i also think if there's one thing in the game that actually can be considered an achievement, its this - crafting nekro. this is one achievement im sure many players wouldnt mind hunting. and if more players run these maps in lieu of farming the vials, im sure the supply problem will be solved as well. or at least i hope.
anyway, looking forward to comments.
