Returning player with few questions

Hello, im not sure where I should go with my questions. I havent played for many years and my original email is deleted. Although Im not 100% if I used facebook or email to log in. I attempted to log in with my old email and it asked verification code so I assume I used email. Is there any way to recover my account?
2nd question would be, whats end game like nowadays? is it still all about gold loot? Are there any alternative farming methods like locked farming? Do you still have to run k4 (or whatever map it was) for event energy?

I guess gold loot is the way to go.
Some events have good opportunities, some may argue tho.

yeah its still about gold loot, now more than ever maybe - even though they nerfed it a while back. what that nerf means is that events are now the best way to farm gold, alongside maybe some end game maps and boss raid zones (the latter not doing too much these days either unless you got insanely high gl%).

locked farming died a long time back which means gold loot from events and end game maps is still the best way.

not sure how long youve been gone but energy farming has changed a bit. energies now drop within a specific range of your level, i.e. the closer the mobs to your level the more likely energies are to drop. back upto 2021/2022 (something around that time or before - not sure) since this mechanic didn't exist, you could farm energies in normal mode runing kt4, even solo. but since kt4 actually caps out signigicantly lower than the current cap of 91 (was the same in 86 too), normal kt4 runs dont drop energies any longer. so when people say run kt4 for energies, they usually mean running it in leaderboard mode which ups the difficulty of that map signigicantly. obviously top of the shelf end game gear will get you through that but 8/10 if you dont have good enough gear, kt4 may no longer be a viable place to farm energies for you.

take a good look and feel of things if you havent been here for a while; im an on-again-off-again kinda player myself so thought of adding context just in case.

Best place to farm energy + gold is dune map 1, you earn gold + get essences. Best of both worlds. Kt4 essence farming is better if you're purely event focused
