People inflating prices

there is a difference between selling something more expensive and manipulating prices

having something for sale for a higher price is legal. you can decide for hm u want to sell an item

manipulating is when you lie about offers and past sales to make another person believe the item is worth more than it is

lying could be perceived as manipulation but,
if no one pays the inflated price then nothing is changed/manipulated
conversely-
if someone decides to pay an inflated price, that doesn’t set a price forever either

sellers can’t “manipulate” prices anymore than buyers
