    Default Chakrams.

    Hi, I know I could have posted this in suggestions but not many players look there and I wondered if anyone else hates the sound of the Chaks?
    Could we please have some way of muting the sound please. They annoy other party members and yes...I know we could just turn all sound off but I and many other players like to keep the sound on.
    I have put a lot of gold into purchasing these weapons and they are bound. Please do something, the sound effects are annoying and distracting. It's like listening to someone with a breathing problem or a very squeaky door.
    Maybe you could put something in options like you did with set visuals being hidden.
    Just listen to them yourselves for half an hour solid and maybe you would empathise.

    Yeah... I too have grown very tired of this sound effect.

    It'll be super quick to replace the Chakram sound effect with a more general 'blade swing through the air' sound - and see if folks like it (or like it more).

    If we get complaints I can go back into the studio and author something more palatable. EQ'ing the sound hasn't worked out very well. This is because so much of the signal is compressed to these high frequencies that when you tamp it down you just lose volume. A more robust source with a deeper base tone would be the right way to rebuild the sound. Anyhoo... let's see what people say after I make the quickie change indicated above.

    I for one kind of dig the current sound as it's a way to annoy everyone in towns XD that said, looking forward to a new sound!

    New Chakram sound is bad because its the same sound as a dagger attack, its hard to tell on which loadout im on when attacking if both have same audio.
    would be nice if it was a different sound (personally I liked the original Chakram sound, I dont understand why it was changed because one person complained)

    The current sound is much better than the previous one. I don’t have to deal with that annoying old sound every time I play Rogue anymore. It’s been criticized by many players I’ve played with since the Indigo Campaign.

    But I agree with Apox, it still sounds quite similar to a dagger.
    I’d suggest making the sound a bit more airy/windy, with a swirling effect.

    I think it's fine as it is now. You can always look at what weapon you're using via the icon.

    I wasn't the only one who complained about the sound of the chakrams. I was just the one who complained here. In-game many people hated that sound. Some people play with the sound off and listen to their favourite music and manage to use their loadouts with no problems. You can always check to see which weapon you are using if using loadouts confuse you.
