Exclamation DIsabling other players auras/wisps/vanity effects/ weapon effects

    Hi there

As the title says could we please get options in the menu to 'Disable other players auras/wisps/vanity effects/ weapon effects, pets and even fireworks'.
In a crowded map with 15/20/30 people all having a hundred different effects on makes my cpu jump from 48c degrees to almost 68c degrees unnecessarily.
Soon as i leave the map to guildhall, my home or if I minimize my browser, it drops back to normal temps.
(i have a 9950x3d an already power hungry cpu, with an awesome watercooler and the game still manages to do this)

Yet I can loadup something like Resident Evil Requiem and play it on very high/ultra graphics and be chiling at 58/60c.
AL should not be using up so much resources to cause this on PC. I am not sure if its an optimization issue of the game, or just too many things going on at once within the game regarding flashy auras and the like.

Please have a look into this - The room gets so hot, it feels like im standing in front of a flamethrower at times.

    Thank you for your time

hard +1 to this! a bunch of people have already requested this; i posted about it in 2-3 different threads. i dont want to be blinded by all these bright flashy flying things all at once. @devs please consider OP's and several of other similar suggestions.

Sorry, no plans to do this. See this thread (link).

Auras should not cover tells, but if they do, let me know which ones (I'll also do a pass on them). If you want more details, see this thread (link).

Instead of turning them off is there a way to reduce some setting on them to reduce lag in populated maps? My phone never lags but my pc will show reduced fps a bit in full aura maps.
    Using Galaxy S24 Ultra
    Pc specs.
    Rtx 5090
    I9 14gen
    64gb ddr5

I don't know if there is a browser that lets you use more gpu / cpu power, its always below 10% on everything when playing AL on the browser.

It has been a while (years?) since we've done any sort of client-side optimizations, so I'm pretty sure there's some low-hanging fruit that could easily be done.

I’m not sure if this applies to any of you, but browsers have a setting called 'Use graphics acceleration when available' (depending on the browser; I use Brave). If this setting is disabled, it limits GPU usage, making the game feel 'heavier.' Based on the feedback and PC specs I’ve seen from other players, enabling this might help. I have a pretty modest setup with a Ryzen 5 5500 and an RX 6600, and so far, I haven't noticed any lag or FPS drops since I turned this on (in Brave, it was disabled by default).
