DPS or Damage more important?

Sorry if this belongs in wrong thread. Please see image attached to see what i mean. Which is more important?

*Tested, and it seems like Damage is what decides.. damage. What's the difference between the two?

I mainly look at dps in arc legends but most rts game i look at damage over dps. You will understand difference eventually u just need a bit of experience
