    Default L25-L27 PVP damage reduction lobbies

    I have a request. Currently almost everyone is playing pvp on L32, however, since L25-L27 has the damage reduction (which makes pvp playable on lower level), we always need to host on 27. But the main issue is that most of us would like to pvp on the 35-40-45 brackets (thankyou for the cake shield!!!!) (and for fox nerf!). I think FFAmage has already made a similar request, but is it possible to increase the damage reduction of L25-L27 to 45, if not for maybe 61? (L71 already has damage reduction if i am not mistaken).

    This would currently, easily, be the best improvement for PL pvp and we would see even more activity and variety in lower levels.

    An inactive player named Zuxer was able to get Cinco to reduce damage output in levels 25 through 27. I’ve tried to figure out what the exact % of the reduced output is but I assume it’s between 27 to 30%. This makes every PvP level played in 25-27 lobbies feel as close as they did in 2012 to 2016, which the majority of us would agree were prime PL years. A L45 merged down to play in 27 lobbies would feel no different now than they did in 2013.

    Current lobbies in 1-24 and 28-70 suffers greatly from the 2017 armor mitigation change. Armor mitigation, the percentage of incoming damage that a character's armor reduces before it affects their health, being lowered by 10% has caused an array of issues, let me explain. Take 2 level 35 mages. 1 of them comes from PL in the year 2013 and the other comes from the current year of 2026. The former has 20 crit, 145 damage, and 67 armor, while the latter has 20 Crit, 130 damage, and 64 armor. The max crit I’ve ever seen the 2013 mage hit was 245 to 250 and that’s extremely rare in of itself. The average critical hit of a mage in 2026 is 350 while the absolute max I’ve seen and heard of is 603. A 603 crit is just a few points short of being able to 1 shot a STR bear.

    Damage was nerfed by 12% in 2017 but the major nerf on armor mitigation has left PvP feeling like the extreme version of 76 cap. The solution I offer is to extend the reduced damage output in 25-27 down to level 10 and up to level 45 to cover for the armor mitigation nerf. It would be easier to just buff armor mitigation back up by 10% but we don’t know how this change will affect PL considering that there is more total armor in the game now with far less damage. In levels like 61 and 76 we have entire dex sets with 30 less damage than in previous years. Dex across the board is already in a bad state with majority of the sets being eclipsed by STR and INT.

    Additionally do what SL and AL do and reduce the level gap requirement to join to 2-3 instead of 5, this mostly stops players from just grabbing a higher level endlessly and ruining the lobby with superior stats so we can host games peacefully, rn 27 is the best host as no one will be able to bring higher than 32 which keeps all competition fair (aside from the L25 elites)

    Default Damage Reduction

    First off, I really enjoy the game—there’s honestly nothing else like it, and I appreciate the hard work you’ve put into it.

    It would be great to expand damage reduction to more levels, not just a few brackets. PvPing on the same level gets repetitive, and this would add more variety in playstyles and builds like old times.

    If possible, bringing back the old player boot/kick system would help a lot. Trolls are too disruptive right now, especially with elites. If the lobby owner rejoins, they should still have the ability to kick players. If someone wants to troll, they can host their own lobby instead.

    Reduced damage output from 25-27 lobbies should be extended down to Level 10 and extended up to level 45. I’d love to see 50-61 also get a damage output reduction change but it’ll have to be set to a lower percentage to compensate the use of passives. 50-61, if practical, should be set at a 15% damage reduction instead of 30%.


    This would be a solid patch for the game.
