Just got back into playing again, tons of new stuff. How does ascending weapons work?

Once you have the weapon, you can buy the recipe and materials from the vendor in town.

To level it up you simply kill mobs, with each lvl requiring more xp each time.

The higher the lvl, the better stats it gives.

There's an AP for crafting the ascendant weapon and another for lvling it to the max level.

Super helpful thank you! I think I found where the vendor sells the recipe, do i get the same recipe for the stone ?

I believe you get the stone as a reward from one of the questline quests.

I think it's just multiple ascendant weapons you buy the stone from the vendor.

Unless you are aps driven my suggestion is to not ascend cause is basically useless, just a waste of gold and crafting time

The part stopping me is the loss of awakes and gem/stones. There is an ap attached this quest and that triggers me.
