    Exclamation Unavoidable teleport/hitbox delay bug across all games

    I’ll start by stating this bug is present and occurs very often in all of STS games, the main trigger for it is a player being against a wall. When a player runs across a wall or runs off a corner, their hitbox is visually delayed for everyone else’s client, now this has been in the games forever but there are players that are unhappy with it so im going to address it as a bug here. This bug also affects regular movement without walls/corners, where your hitbox is just naturally delayed upon turning around or doing any circular motion. (This is why you the player often complain when someone hits you with a skill from more than 12meters away)

    Another issue arises with this bug is that if you were to dash off a wall/corner with fox/rhino you end up teleporting for other people’s screens.
    This bug is completely unavoidable and I believe it’s due to the games having a lower tick rate which just means the game updates things like hitboxes less smoothly than games in 2026. This is normal as PL is an old game but I can understand players wanting smoothness as we move into a new era.

    Personally, in order for me to play optimally I am unable to avoid the bug from triggering, as well as other players who have briefly touched any wall in the map are also now bugged slightly so this is unavoidable for everyone playing pvp content. I spend my time now to teach why it occurs and what can be done to counter it to lessen its strength in competitive content.

    There is a further bug in the game that I have no idea how it triggers and it’s very inconsistent at when it occurs; what happens is (usually fox/rhino) when you join a game they will just be standing still in one spot, except that’s only on your client, and so if you’d try to attack them it would do nothing, this is known as an invisibility bug and the only fix is to respawn or rejoin the lobby, I am unable to figure out how to trigger it for video example or how to prevent it and I believe it’s the worse second version of the bug stated before.

    Considering this bug has been in the game for 16 years, things like this are natural for most old MMORPGs so I believe the best way to fix it is to just increase the tick rate and fps significantly for all clients mobile and pc.

    As for video example of this occurring, there is a YouTube video on the channel “Kryste” titled “Double Trouble Part 2” where in the first 15-20 seconds you can see it happening to my fox, yet on my screen/client there is no such teleport so im only able to view it happening on another perspective.

    Apologies for the long wall of text, hope something can be done to get this bug fixed, im tired of receiving unavoidable hate, I just want to play the game at my skill level.
    I’m aware it might be a lot to ask as something like this will be hard to fix overnight and could create newer worse bugs as a result so with that said good luck and thanks for reading.

    Also @futumsh should u need more visual examples we could meet in game and I can demonstrate a few of the bugs related to the post as it was hard to explain in words, I’ll try to free up time if you need it.

    Sorry, but just a consequence of how motion / collision works in PL, and unlikely to change 16 years in.
