My post from 2024 seems relevant after the latest state of the game post,

"Returned to find AL is just vanity legends, endless procs, and gear sets. The maps are overly complex and endless.

I ran some of the OG maps and the simplicity and shortness felt like a breath of fresh air. AL better when it was simple.

The solution is to revert in my opinion. I’ve thought of a second world where our characters are transported but leave everything behind in AL. New world starts from scratch regarding everything. The new maps and gear should follow simplicity and pvp would be present. (Balanced though, no paras or awakens). No over the top vanities too, it’s so tacky to see it everywhere.

It would really bring a sense of exploring especially for all the older players and helpful for new players to start their journeys.

I’ve been logging on after year the last five years just to take a stroll and log off finding that nothing is improved. The golden age is over.

I’m always curious what keeps the game going with all these new expansions but seems the player base is smaller? Maybe STS makes enough revenue, but dunno it can only go so long before the train stops."


Awakenings were a big mistake, killing pvp and ballooning ridiculous stats.

Awakening didn't fack up the game. The new awakening system did. Also releasing new stone and aura every event to milk the community destroyed the game.

The speed set came first and the Us and Them attitudes followed. The community cooperation broke down. Awakens were ok until they started adding MORE. Agrees the disparity between F2P and P2W has grown ridiculous compounded by these changes.

This thread shows just how much AL meant to players. The forums used to be full of fun and players and Devs didn't feel separated. The game was special and because of that it makes it difficult for people like me, who have played since the game was new, to leave.
There is now inequality within the game. It's going to be hard to forget this game because of all the years I've played and all the good memories but I will withdraw slowly maybe.

You said exactly how I feel about the game. I miss the old feel of things and know that its not like that anymore... So I guess I stick around with the hope it will be again but at the same time knowing it never will be. I still have a few friends like you that remember " the good ole days" So for now I will stick around for that.... but when you all leave I will leave aswell. Sometimes I think thats what the devs want, maybe they would like to have only people that don't know what they are missing so there are no more complaints about it. Either way- Im here for now, don't know how long but here for now.

We had quite a few characters on here who really cheered folk up. I remember someone who loved cake oh and so many more. The player who kept asking for a medusa helmet was entertaining too. Can't blame the Devs for the way things took a turn for the worse here. Some bad people came in and filled the place with salt and toxicity. I remember asommers got really fed up with abusive behaviour and I had to agree with him. Ruined the forums.
Yes I guess I'll stay as long as you do and all the others who stay despite the way things turned out.

Of course given the strange and terrible economic reality of the world we live in, there is no guarantee that "ALCR" will ever see the light of day... but it is a compelling concept with a built-in audience of dedicated players :-)

Win or lose, I would be happy just pitching this game to certain preferred investors (when the time is right).

I’d definitely invest in it (really). If you can bring the new version of ALCR even close to AL’s prime, I’m sure the return on that investment would be astronomical.

I LOVE this idea, and I HATE that you’ve got my anxiety going through the roof over something that isn’t even confirmed yet. damn i’m fired up.

That sounds amazing! I would invest in that. Anyone that can create a video game and keep it going this long---Can do it again. Economy is bad but people have no choice but to take risks. Its either that or lay down and die.--- Facts.
