I think the idea is Great. But it's totally absurd to pay so much money to participate. This event could have been a nice change of pace. Instead, they ruined it. Give something back to the community. This event should be free.

STS, we are 5months+ this year. The 2026 community letter gave us some hope. What happened?
Half year in we saw zero advertisment for the game, community letter was all words

How about one free jersey bound and other 47 jerseys add as loot in soccer game?
With nothing to loot fun element will be dead in days and those wanting to run will struggle to get enough players for the 5v5.
A word cup event should be enjoyed by all players… rich and poor, new and old.

Ok i changed my mind, when look from other perspective, its like side-map , not an event.
It seems fun to have non grinding stuff in game.
Gives needed width to the game, 1k plat for a jersey can be a problem, maybe make it be 100 plat or 100m gold.
Good idea all in all, maybe make a poll how much should jerseys cost. Could be nice gold sink too (not like we need more rn)
