Best Way To Spend 4000 Plat For Max Profit?

Well, it depends.
There’s two situations on where you “should” spend plat.
Instance one, is for new locks - as the Lv91 Storm weapons as an example, void gear, etc.
Or, instance two for keys.
It comes down to if you want a “sure thing” gain- or a chance at more.

The other, is key sales.
Every two weeks.

To prep for this, I typically buy 40k plat and sit on it until the key sales roll around. 14/28~
Number wise, if you buy 4k
You’ll gain between 560m-600m
Basing it off of 7m-7.5m per key which is most common.
There are some instances where they do hit 8m. But isn’t too common, for it to be that consistent
Last time it was that high, was when storm weapons came.

But in short, the best use of buying plat is to get 50pc keys.
Just need to be a little patient at times.
I typically sell them a day or two after the keys go away.

Very informative, I'm thinking about the sure gold but I'm also considering arc gems due to Elite Dune but keys as well may go crazy due to new content. i could go 50 keys and 400 gems or 800 gems?. How about pet evo shards/kits? Once a month sale

Evo shards are okay, however
It issues is that people understand the gold to plat ratio
Is so poor
It’ll cost about $20 worth of plat , to T7 a H/arc
Many prefer the alternative
Not to mention- for the purpose of each item
Key, awaken, evo
It’s much harder to sell it in bulk when compared to the other two.
But it comes down to your preference really
Arc gems are very nice, and I believe the demand for both of them are high.
Not even considering the event, just as a whole for both.
You could very well go 50/50 on them though
In the end, both are very good options
Just involving my personal opinion of course, I believe keys to hold more value.
Especially , if you’re like most sellers
Wanting Vanities, Auras, etc
It’s pretty easy to do 1x(quantity):1swaps
If that’s what you’re into also.

Between the three, I’d avoid evo at all costs lol.
It’s just easier to just buy the material later if you need it
Rather than buying it in bulk & trying to sell it.

I appreciate your honest opinion, I'm basically moving from a hardcore event lb grinder to a casual guy spending a bit of cash to make up for the time lost busy with work and having fun. I do prefer arc gems based on elite dune content , not really a vanity guy but I'll take all of your advise into consideration. Thank you sooo much😊

Opening crates is rarely ever worth it, especially with "only" 4k plat. Sure you could get lucky, but I have lost my trust in that (as stated above, only even worth a try if there is a good arcane item in it). Arc awas and keys are always a safe bet, especially now that new awa system and new items are on the horizon, good luck.

Atm the best way to spend your 4k at is to buy 8x Improved Goblin Legend Stone which will make you 560m.

Or wait for the Awaken Event.
4000/10 = 400 Arcane Awaken Gems
times 1.7m (you gotta keep the for some time) will make you 680m.

Elite Awakens usually go for approximately 500k so that’s 4000/5 = 800 times 500k is 400m

My best take:
Wait for a platinum sale and spend it when a good opportunity comes. Like the Legend Goblin Stones. I bought tens of them when they were released and I sold 5-6 of them for 100m each :-D
