3x str ultimate and veilblade set

Hello, it's something I've noticed a while ago but never really brought it up, it seems that using the ultimate doesn't increase the damage done by veilblade set / solar damage, is this intended or not? And if it is I'd like to know why because the ultimate still increases base damage by a lot so it'd make sense if it affected the damage dealt.

Many of the Veilblade set's damage procs scale solely with elemental damage, so STR has little effect on their damage output.

I appreciate the response, but what's the point of having these ultimate skills if they don't contribute anything while using latest gear?

Elite and boss damage also doesn't seem to help, really sad

How come friend does double my damage then? Solar % vs mix of Elite/Boss on every piece (their solar % isnt even super high)

Statistics are as following:
Friend with 95% solar, 420 solar, BD low, ED low, same pet AA and lower stats from HB
Vs
Me with 57% solar, 340 solar, 107% BD, 57% ED, same AA and better HB
Friend does over 60% more damage than me with these stats proving that BD and ED does close to nothing compared to just pure solar awakes
