You aren't one of those guys who runs ahead and pulls half the dungeon "for" the warrior only to find out the warrior cannot handle that many mobs, so you end up dead and leave the group because of the "noob" warrior, are you?

I'm not accusing you. I've just seen this a bunch of times and your rant thread about bad tanks seemed like a good place to counter with a rant about bad DPSers. It's so lame to see some gung ho rogue or sorcerer run ahead of the tank, pull way too many monsters for the tank to handle, get themselves or the entire team killed, and then leave the group.

Eh? You do realise mostly tanks do that. For one, why would a dps rely on a tank to clear a mob? Warrior is the class that mostly does this not rogues or mages, they think the dpsers can clear a mob of 20 or 30 (in W4) and the tank end up getting everyone killed.

Eh? You do realize that just because more warriors do it than rogues and sorcerers does not change the fact that there are some rogues and sorcerers that do it, right?

Yup, some warriors do it, too. They think they can run ahead and gather half the dungeon while the dps takes them all out, but they end up getting too far ahead and biting off more then they can chew.

But there are rogues and sorcerers that think they can run ahead and nuke a bunch of monsters and then run back past the tank, with the idea that the tank will pick up all the adds and the run will go a lot faster. It usually ends up with the entire party getting killed, because it's too much for the tank to manage. That's what I'm talking about.

Who do y'all run with. I'm a mage and I always have to lead the pack in random groups because the "tank" wants to stop at every group of 3 mobs and effectively double the clear time of the dungeon. With tanks that are efficient I will even give them a few k to buy pots cause I know clearing faster is more costly for them.

I'd rather wipe once or twice with an over zealous tank and finish in 5 mins than take 10 minutes tanking myself. Just my thoughts though. I know what ya are saying.
