What a frustration of an "improvement" to AL.. The whole point of a drop is that it is a free chance at the good gear. I don't farm so I can pay actual money to unlock what the boss drops. If I wanted to spend platinum I would visit the in game store.

I really hope they become free or able to open with gold in the least. Or simply removed from drops and added to the platinum store.

Some of the items appear to be better than the elite chest gear. New bows and guns give the highest damage in the game, and I got a sword with the vorpal proc but higher damage than any vorpal sword.

New armor seems to have lesser or at best equal stats, but there are many varieties so there might be something worthwhile out there. Some weapons seem to be better than any current equivalent, and the new guns and bows are much higher pure damage than anything previously in the game. I would presume the new shield/sword sets are also better than previous. People are saying the new jewelry is also better but I haven't seen any of it.

Ive seen most of the rogue to say it isnt worth it, ive only seen 2 rings so far both are weaker than lvl 20 spellboun of potency the rogue watchmans ring of force barely does anything +0.2 dam 0.4 dps + 26 armour.

The str version stats are +25 str +3.1 dam +26 armour.

I just bought a watcher bow off the CS. Very satisfied after i test it out. Got a 2860 crit with aimed shot, feel so good.

For sorcerer gear everything is just crappy. Nothing worth getting at all. The best setup for sorcerer gear at level 21 is to have 13 STR & 26 INT. DEX is pretty useless for a sorcerer. Yet every level 21 sorcerer armor or helmet from the new chests has 26 DEX, and the most INT any of them have is 10. So they are just for looks.

As for the guns, the damage is higher, but the DPS way lower. I used one of the guns on a few jarl runs. The knockback proc is kind of cool -- it hits around once out of every 4 or 5 times. But overall I cause way less damage because the weapon is so slow. Normally I spam the attack button while my skills are cooling down and usually get in about 3-4 attacks after I spam through my skills before they cool down again. But with the gun I only get one single attack in between skills. Also, the attack from the gun is not AoE where as a regular attack from a wand is. So not as good as having a flamestrike or charward wand.

I love the blackness of the bow. lol. The rifle looks nice too, with the gold sides. Although probably shouldn't have spent that 100k on the bow which level cap increase is coming.

For Jarl, I agree the FS or Char is better, but the +12 damage of the gun on all your AOE is huge for large groups of mobs. There is definitely an argument for guns now. If we could get a loadout button on the main UI to quickly switch it would be perfect
