help with power points

im not exactly new but im confused on how to use my power points on the skills below(vampiric vitality...etc)

Go 0-2-6-2 with fire aura, or go 0-1-6-(2 or 3) with verminswarm. I have 0-0-6-2 vermin swarm with leap and shadow dance and I do great in pvp.

I am more a pve player ;
My points in passive skills are : 1 0 6 2 , active skills Shadow dance , Fire Aura , Leap and Dark Binding, by now over 400k Pve kills

I would like to clarify about when people use numbers like this, my guess is...
0 Sanguinary Wrath, 2 Blood Shield, 6 Vampiric Strength, 2 Vampiric Vitality
And then specialize in Fire Aura?

And when you use power points on passive skills, does that mean they're active all the time?
Also, how do you earn power points?
I've noticed that I've earned one when I level up sometimes, but I don't think it's been every time. Is that the only way to earn them?

Hi, yes, only way, 17 total when you are at lvl 31 cap.
And the rest you are also correct.
