Countering backfire from kraag cannon

Well,its a bit shame when you lunch that cannon and die when it backfire you.So I find out that if you cast something which make you invulnerable,you will not die when you lunch that cannon when he backfire you.I know it last for 2 seconds only but with lucky guess,you can avoid you dead from backfire.

No offense but think open the chests and killing mobs spread around the whole map will give you more gold than lunch that cannon...
