Captain's Axe

So I was scrolling through some warrior weps in the auction house and realized that the Captain's Axe can proc an 8% dodge buff. I never actually realized this even though I bought it maybe a week ago from the auction. So I looked at the weapon while it was equipped but the 8% dodge proc didn't show up. Idk why I did this but then I acted as if I was going to put it in the auction and it showed that there was an 8% dodge proc.

I'm not sure if this makes sense... I'll see if I can get pics up later if I remember.

The 8% dodge buff isn't applied until it procs when being used. Once the proc is active, the dodge amount is added to the stat.

Lol thanks for replying but that wasn't what I was talking about. I'll try to be more clear here:

So when the 26 Captain's Axe of Assault is either equipped or in my inventory, the stats are as follows: "61.5 DPS, 31 Strength, 16 Dexterity." HOWEVER, when I see it in the auction, the 26 stats for the Captain's Axe of Assault are as follows: "61.5 DPS, 31 Strength, 16 Dexterity. Chance to proc 8% Dodge buff for 6 seconds."

So my question is, why won't the "Chance to proc 8% Dodge buff for 6 seconds" show up in my weapon's description? I was just confused...

EDIT: nvm. When I press the weapon icon next to the stats, it shows up. I guess it's fine now then.
